Three years after we broke up, he suddenly sends me a wedding invitation—the groom's Ryan Shaw, and the bride isn't me. He even specifically asks me to be a bridesmaid, saying I'm 'the one who understands him best.' I stared at those words and laughed, my fingertips going icy cold. Turns out the sharpest revenge isn't forgetting, but handing him the ring with my own hands. Chapter 1 of "Lost First Love"

My phone buzzed on the desk while I was zoning out in front of the computer screen. The design draft on the screen was half-finished, the cursor frozen in the corner like a sign lost in the dark. It was a notification from our high school group chat. A red "99+" kept flashing on the top right of the icon, stabbing my eyes, making them tense. I opened the long-dormant group chat, the red digital invite stabbing my eyes like a burning-hot needle, totally catching me off guard. Gilded letters flickered on a black background: Groom: Ryan Shaw. Bride: Libby Miller. It was sent by Ryan Shaw himself — his profile pic still that old high school basketball shot, red jersey and a dazzling grin. I stared at those two names for half a minute, fingers hovering over the screen, but I didn't type a single word. The chat stayed frozen at that graduation farewell dinner three years ago. Someone tagged Ryan Shaw, asking when we'd get married. He just sent a grinning emoji and said, "Soon." Three years after the breakup, this was the first time he popped back into my life—and like this. Out of nowhere, a new message popped up in the chat window—from Ryan Shaw's private account. His gray avatar suddenly lit up, like a spark flickering in the dark. "Are you free next Saturday?" My heart jolted, and my fingertips went icy cold. I stared at the text box, deleting and rewriting, then finally answered, "Maybe." "I'm getting married. I want you to be my bridesmaid." The phone nearly slipped from my hand. Sweat in my palm made the screen sticky; I gripped the burning-hot phone, fingertips blanching: "Ryan Shaw, are you out of your mind?" "Just think of it as... sending me off one last time." His message came so fast, like he was scared I'd say no. "We've been over for ages." I stared at the typing box, my nails digging into my palm, leaving crescent-shaped marks. "But you're still the one who knows me best." That sentence was like a rusty blade, slowly reopening an old wound. Blood beads seeped out, carrying the rusty tang from three years ago. I took a deep breath and hit send: "Not going." "You have to come." His message was firm, no room for argument: "I sent you the address." A location popped up in the chat—it was the city center's most famous wedding dress studio—"In the Flow of Time." I stared at those words and suddenly burst out laughing. Three years ago, he was just like this—always bossing my life around, like when he forced me to wear the sneakers he bought on a rainy day, saying, "This way you won't catch a cold."

A Chance in the Alley

The iron door of the prison slammed shut behind me, the sound muffled, as if it had struck my heart. Under the tree, Flock Owen held a black umbrella, rain soaking the hems of his trousers. Four years had passed, and he hadn't changed at all—except for the hollow guilt in his eyes when he looked at me. "Caroline, I've come to take you back." He stepped forward. I laughed, rain running into my mouth: "Back where? To the home you share with Violet Gable?" "I know you blame me," he frowned, "but Violet and I are just..." "Just killing my parents, seizing my company, and then throwing me into prison?" I cut him off, each word edged with ice, "Mr. Owen, your 'just' is truly lethal." Without looking back, I stepped into the falling rain. The city had become unfamiliar, like the pale face in the mirror—my face, now...

My Aunt

I will never forget that harsh winter; the cold wind cut my face like knives as I shivered in my threadbare cotton-padded jacket, while from the adjoining room, my sister's laughter rang out incessantly. She merely asked for a new toy, Mother gently agreed; yet for me, even a warm meal was a distant luxury. I only wished to have some flour paste, but Mother responded with a brutal beating. It was not until my aunt appeared, her eyes filled with tears as she looked at the wounds on my body, that she resolutely decided to take me away from that hell...收起

My Lover, My Enemy

"Open your eyes slowly." The Doctor's voice was calm. A blur of white, then a mask, and finally... the face imprinted in my memory. "Casper?" My voice trembled beyond control. He was the only one who had ever given me warmth in the darkness. But the familiar yet icy curve at the corner of his mouth sent me plunging into an ice-cold abyss. "Aurora, you can finally see." His voice remained gentle, yet it felt like a venomous snake coiling around my neck. "Cameron Scott?! How is it you?" I nearly screamed out loud. The enemy who ruined my youth and forced me to get expelled! He leaned in, close to my ear, his breath warm, but his words were laced with venom: "Why can't it be me? I Left My Past Love After Amnesia

"Stacy Lynn, did you collude with Henry on this?" I clutched the leaked documents and said coldly. Her eyes were flustered, but she forced a steady tone. "Ryan, are you out of your mind? How could I team up with an outsider to betray you!" "An outsider?" Henry stepped out of the shadows, slung an arm around her shoulders, and taunted, "Stacy hasn't liked you for ages. Stop deceiving yourself." "Get out!" I slammed a fist on the coffee table. "Stacy, tell me the truth—did you hand over the documents?" She averted my gaze, her voice trembling. "It wasn't me... Don't listen to his provocation." Henry scoffed, leaning close to my ear. "Six years of marriage were all a lie. She only approached you for the Lynn Family's fortune." I was about to lose my temper when a sharp pain exploded at the back of my head. My vision blurred...
